Are you up-to-date with what your building partners are doing? Recesses in structural elements for technical installations lend themselves perfectly for optimizing your BIM workflow.
Great news: Stabicad 11 has been released! Faster engineering, enhanced performance with faster start-up times, new tools, improved (calculation) functionality and more.
Many trends that you come across as a consumer can also influence the work of installers, modelers and advisors. But how will this look like? Nothing is certain, but these are the trends we can expect in 2017.
With 200.114 visitors from 61 countries, it’s safe to say the ISH fair in Frankfurt last week was a great success. The 2500(!) exhibitors report being very satisfied with the quality of the international fair – now it’s time for the follow-up. This also applies to Stabiplan: our participation in ISH 2017 is already called successful.
We have exciting news for engineers working with Stabicad or Stabicad for Revit: a series of English Stabitips has started. Learn for example how to generate recesses requests or edit the colors on systems easily. Keep an eye on our channel the coming weeks, because every week a new video will be uploaded.
Starting a BIM project with different installation concepts? Dutch engineering agency Van Hoften took on the challenge. In collaboration with construction company Hurks they worked on two different (test) bungalows in Stabicad for Revit, fully realized in BIM. Arjan Burghout, project leader & BIM manager, and Geert-Jan Bosmans, Project leader & sales at Van Hoften, presented this project during the SUM.
Virtual Reality (VR) appeals to the imagination. Obviously, you can fantasize away about the opportunities it brings. The technology is about to break through both in entertainment and business.
The LOD, or Level of Development, is often a source of confusion in BIM projects.
In most BIM protocols you will find the desired LOD level during the project and upon completion of the as-built model. However, it is often unclear what exactly is meant by an LOD. Because of this, there is often a subsequent discussion about what should and should not be stored in the BIM model.
BIM is about collaborating and sharing knowledge, also on an international level. Thus, in October, the key players in the European BIM world came together during the Revit Technology Conference and Building Content Summit in Porto.
