Content in Stabicad comes in three different forms:
1. Generic content
With Stabicad you can make use of generic content (= not specfic to a manufacturer). When working with generic content you can still specify what kind of material the content is made of (e.g. copper or steel pipes). You are also able to create your own parametric generic content and save it so it can be used again in further projects. For calculation purposes Stabicad also offers generic calculation elements which are
fictional elements that represent either a provider (Water meter, Boiler etc) or consumer (Heating equipment, sanitary equipment, grille etc). This way you can already calculate without creating a detailed design. These generic elements will adapt their sizes automatically to the size of the pipes. This content is great for conceptual and developing design phases. All this content is free for Stabicad customers in all countries.

2. Manufacturer specific content in Stabicad
With Stabicad you can also make use of manufacturer specific content. The base geometry of the elements is the same as the generic content but where generic content lacks article information, specific content contains parameters like article number, manufacturer name, technical specifications and even a deep link to the documentation of this specific
article. When using manufacturer specific content in calculations, their sizes will not change automatically because it’s a real article and that particular element is only available in that size. Connection pieces / reducers will be added automatically by the calculation if required. This content is great for the technical design phase.

3. Manufacturer specific content on MEPcontent.com
MEPcontent is used for large equipment, such as chillers, boilers, as well as specialised valves. This content is often more detailed than the geometries found in Stabicad. Content found on MEPcontent contains, similar to manufacturer specific content in Stabicad, article information, correct dimensions and technical data. This type of content can also be used in calculations in the same way as manufacturer specific content in Stabicad. This type of content can be placed directly via Stabicad via the embedded MEPcontent Browser. This content is great for the technical design phase.
