Hisense: "Together stronger through BIM"

How do you distinguish yourself as a new player in a traditional market? A tough challenge, but manufacturer Hisense accepted it. The formula? Innovation, digitization and close collaboration with installers.

How it started

In 2015, Vincent started as an exclusive importer of Hisense's climate systems in the Benelux. In the beginning one can be hesitant about a new player. You're dealing with a new brand, great success stories and an extremely enthusiastic team. However, you have to experience whether you can use it. Everyone is trying to test your new brand with a small system. As soon as it turns out that the system works well, the quality, and service and after-sales services are in order, people also dare to choose larger systems.

Made in China

Our systems are manufactured in China, but are of Japanese quality due to the joint venture between Hisense and Hitachi. Meanwhile, a number of the larger installers have chosen for Hisense. This is not only for small projects, but also for hotels and large utility projects. It shows that we are on the right track. We are aware that, as a distributor of Chinese products, we are always behind 2-0. That's why we need to be constantly one step faster than the rest when it comes to after-sales, spare parts and serviceability of the equipment.

Higher design speed thanks to BIM

It is therefore not for no reason that Hisense cooperates with MEPcontent. We have developed our own selection program, but recently also had BIM files developed by MEPcontent. For example, installers can easily assemble climate control systems and integrate them directly into a BIM project. The engineering phase is the most important stage in the construction process, because it determines whether we are going to be successful or not. That's why easily available and 100% correct BIM files are of great importance to us.  MEPcontent brings our products directly to the modelers, “explains Vincent. The demand for these stocks is increasing. The BIM option also demonstrates the distinctive character of installers.
